2021-22 INDOOR UPDATE

The 2021-22 Indoor season is set to kick off on Monday, October 18th.

Please read the attached memo regarding the Goverment of Alberta changes to COVID protocols that will impact the 2021-22 indoor season.

 

 

The Alberta Soccer Return to Competition for Stage 3 (Updated Sept 17) has been update. Please review it prior your first game.

Ken Atterbury Tournament

Thanks to all the referees whom volunteered thier time to ref in the Ken Atterbury Tourney.   The tourney was a great kick off for the upcoming indoor season.  Profits raised will be donated to the Alberta Diabetes Foundation, Stollery Childrens Hospital and the Referee Scholarship Fund - thanks to all who participated!

Summary

This position is responsible for the operational aspects pertaining to league play for the Edmonton and District Soccer Association and reports to the Executive Director.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Schedule and reschedule all games.
  2. Maintain records regarding standings, scores and discipline.
  3. Coordinate with the Discipline Director, Committee members and the membership for all discipline hearings.
  4. Liaise with the Alberta Soccer Association regarding the discipline status of players.
  5. Liaising with the approximately 525 member teams regarding league matters.
  6. Coordinating with the EDSA Referee Coordinator to ensure that officials are assigned to all EDSA games.
  7. Updating information on the Association’s web site.
  8. Liaise with facility coordinators.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge And Skill Requirements

  1. Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively communicate and interact with team officials from a diverse community. Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with other staff and simultaneously manage several projects.
  2. This is normally acquired through a combination of the completion of a degree in a related field (Physical Education, Recreation, Business Management, or other related field).
  3. Must be highly organized, analytical and motivated.

Working Conditions

Working conditions are normal for an office environment.  Further information pertaining to work conditions is outlined in the EDSA Staff Personnel Policies.

Salary Range

Negotiable.

The making of player cards is by appointment only. Please call 780-944-4086 to set a time to have your card made. 

You must present a piece of government-issued identification and proof of vaccination (or negative COVID test or medical exemption) at the time of your appointment.
